Healing Starts When You Say Yes

Years ago, I was sitting in the dark in my prayer room. The sun had set during my introductory call with my friend Josette LeBlanc. I decided to do some healing work with her that still impacts me today. I will never forget her prompting. She encouraged me to be mindful and to journal as things started to come up for me.

Even though we had not yet begun the actual work, the moment I said yes, things began to move. I sat reflecting on our call when moments later I realized I had drifted into a conversation with her. I sat in prayer for a while, and God assured me that this inner conversation was part of my process with her. I took detailed notes as God began to speak to me and remind me of things that would be important. I saw things that Josette would share with me later as she did the energy work. God was showing me in advance to help me understand what would support the work ahead.

As I reflect on that moment and many like it, I recognize that my yes opened the door to my becoming. God had been showing me all along that I was a chosen prophet, a carrier of wisdom, a catalyst for change and peace, and a healer. I believe that God has been revealing your identity to you as well. It may have felt difficult to believe, but that does not make it any less true.

Our healing offers us a breakthrough point to becoming the version of ourselves that we desire. Many of the challenges we face, even those we believe were inflicted by others, stem from what we have not yet healed.

When you say yes to healing, you begin to see more clearly. Things come up to be addressed, as they did in my work with Josette, and you find that you are ready to see it. Often, the natural response is “I wasn’t ready for that,” but the truth is, you are ready for what is revealed. You may simply not like what it asks you to change or become.

​

Feeling equipped for your healing journey varies by person and by season of life. When it comes to modalities, some underpromise and overdeliver, while others do the opposite. Your commitment to do the work and openness to see what is present is the single factor with the most impact on the outcome. It begins with you and is sustained by your commitment. You will see the threads of proof in the book.

There is a truth in this book that I want to share with you now.

What We Don’t See: Navigating Hidden Realities and Divine Guidance

When uncertainty surrounds us, it’s easy to scan the world for answers. We look at the news, our timelines, our circumstances, trying to interpret what’s coming next. But in this month’s Divine Guidance message, I shared something true in every season of my own journey: the most transformative guidance doesn’t come from the outside. It comes from within.

I’ve learned to pay attention to what I don’t see at first glance, both in myself and in the people closest to me. And I believe this kind of vision, this willingness to investigate the unseen, is more necessary today than ever.

​

The Unseen Within: Self-Reflection as Preparation

For me, real preparation always starts with self-reflection. Not rehearsing old experiences or trying to calculate the future, but asking myself a deeper question: What am I not seeing about me?

Whenever I’ve felt blocked, whether in receiving abundance, navigating relationships, or moving forward in purpose, it was almost always connected to something within me that needed attention. Maybe I was holding onto old disappointments. Maybe I hadn’t fully acknowledged my fears. Maybe I was operating from outdated motivations.

When we take the time to look inward with honesty, the invisible barriers become visible. And once we see them, we can release them. That is how we stay aligned, no matter what is happening around us.

Community: Supporting What We Don’t See Around Us

But it’s not just about our inner world. I’m always reminding myself to pay attention to what’s happening in the “immediate world” around me. The truth is, people rarely announce their pain. They carry it quietly, tucked behind everyday responsibilities or automatic smiles.

Healing and renewal are always rooted in community. When we take the time to notice what isn’t being said, to check in, to listen without judgment, we create spaces where people can breathe again. Sharing our stories, our resilience, our lessons, allows others to feel less alone.

Community isn’t a concept for me. It’s the soil where transformation grows.

Letting Go of the Past for Present Alignment

There’s a theme that has shown up repeatedly in my own healing journey: the need to release my grip on the past. And believe me, I know how tightly we can hold onto old pain, old grievances, and old narratives.

But the truth I’ve come to live by is this: holding anyone hostage to the past, including myself, keeps me from stepping into freedom. It doesn’t excuse what happened. It doesn’t erase the hurt. But it becomes wisdom instead of weight.

When I choose to forgive, to release, to move forward, I make space for Divine guidance to flow more clearly. So I often ask myself: Has clinging to this resentment helped me at all? If not, why am I still carrying it?

Courage isn’t just about big leaps. Sometimes it’s the quiet decision to let go.

Building Trust in Divine Guidance Amid Uncertainty

And at the center of everything is my trust in Divine Guidance. Not the loud guidance of the world, but the still, steady voice of God that often asks me to move differently than I expected. Prophetic preparation, as I teach it, isn’t about following the crowd. It’s about discerning God’s instruction even when it contradicts logic. Just like Noah, sometimes our obedience won’t make sense to anyone else until the moment arrives.

That kind of clarity doesn’t come from noise. It comes from prayer, journaling, silence, and intentional connection. The more I commit to those practices, the easier it becomes to recognize the messages that aren’t obvious, the ones carried in the quiet spaces of my spirit.

We are all being invited to see beyond what meets the eye. To trust, to discern, and to prepare, not from fear, but from alignment.
