Your Remarkable Life: I'm Wearing The Crown...Regardless - February 13, 2026

I'm Wearing The Crown...Regardless
It’s my birthday Y'all!
For the past several years, I have worn a tiara for my birthday. It started as fun amongst my sisters and has become a ritual. This year, I have managed to put several meetings on my calendar for my birthday ( which is a national holiday y’all!), and I had to make a decision. No, it isn’t about canceling them. I knew it was my birthday when I left it on the schedule. My big question was, should I still wear my tiara?
Absolutely yes.
Let’s be honest. Anyone who cannot get into the energy of seeing me in my tiara on my birthday is probably not my people, right?

And that really matters, especially at this moment.
Why? Because our identity is everything. For far too long, we have been hiding our crowns and whispering about who we know we are to ensure that we don’t take up too much space. As we reflect together, I hope we realize that is our humanness…not God’s intention. We were created to take up space. The sheer amount of brilliance, beauty, kindness, generosity, and love that we wield is more than what most of the spaces we call “home” or “work” were ever intended to hold.
In this season, Wear YOUR Crown! I’ll be wearing mine regardless.
I think God made a faux pas when They told me to own my identity. I recognize that I am still growing, but something shifted for me when I began to say it aloud. It became real. And you know what else? Despite the worries I might have had, no one asked me for proof. Isn’t it funny how we worry about the things that really don’t matter? I don’t have a card in my wallet that says that I am God’s heart on earth, but the receipts are long, and God is always ready to confirm it.

And I hope that boldness stirs within you as well. Where are you hiding the parts of you that are yearning to be seen? If anything is discouraging you from being all of you…it’s time to confront it. Things can delay our becoming, but they will never change the truth of who we are.
So toss your head back, shake your hair, and don your crown. You belong. You were created for this moment. Change is happening so that you can see yourself more fully. The revelation of who you are is meant to be. It’s time to say yes to yourself and allow your own dreams to unfold. You deserve every good thing that is on its way to you…and you’ll believe that even more deeply when you own your identity.

That is why this month is dedicated to our identity. You’ll find wisdom, resources, and offerings that support you in rediscovering who you are as well as the encouragement to own what you may already know. The podcast episodes this month are very special, and they mark an important moment of evolution. I have something very exciting happening next month too… more to come soon.
But for now, let’s just play in the fullness of who we were created to be. This is what it looks like to refine the foundation that we are building upon. We are reclaiming our truth and changing the ill-fitting narratives. Just what is needed for the shifts we know need to happen in the world.
So pop a bottle, pour a hot cup of tea, or dance like nobody's watching on the 17th. Celebrate my special day with me. And wear your tiara or crown too. There is always room for you here…for all of you.
Who do you say you are?
What is God saying about your identity? Do you understand your purpose and how to live into it now? That is your next step, and the timing is very important. This month, I've dedicated The Anika Apple Podcast episodes to the timely and critical conversations around identity. Check out this week's installment of The Identity Series below.
Peace and Blessings!

Because Identity Is Critical... Wear Your Crown
My time with God and healing journey have made me more intentional about owning my identity without explanation or performance. Not refining it. Not proving it. Not editorializing it. I am simply standing in what God has already made clear.
What I’ve noticed is this: when identity is settled, decisions stop feeling heavy. The noise quiets. The need to overthink falls away. The feeling of alignment grounds me in a way that I need, especially when the world is a mess.
God spoke two words to me about identity that sent me back to the foundation of everything. When you are clear about what God says about who you are, you see everything else differently.
That’s why I created Crowned.
It’s a private, divine identity and purpose session for those who feel the quiet nudge to stop questioning who they are and begin moving from clarity, confidence, and conviction.
If you are finding yourself question what you hear, struggling to trust the inner knowing or experiencing discomfort as navigate this uncertain moment, it's time to be Crowned. Putting on your crown symbolizes aligning with your spiritual identity and saying yes to living an aligned life, the one that you co-created for this moment.

Reclaiming True Identity in a World of Performance
We are living in a time where it’s easy to forget who we really are.
Between cultural expectations, workplace demands, social pressures, and the quiet desire to belong, many of us have learned how to perform long before we learned how to be. And over time, performance can become so normal that we lose sight of the person God created us to be before the world started giving us instructions.
One of the most important parts of my work is helping people come back to that original identity, the version of themselves that existed before survival strategies, approval-seeking, and role-playing took over.
Because your true identity isn’t something you create.
Most of us didn’t set out to become performers. We adapted.
As children, we learned what earned approval and what caused disappointment. We adjusted our behavior to avoid conflict, to stay safe, to fit in. Maybe we became the achiever, the helper, the peacemaker, the one who never caused problems. Later, those same patterns followed us into school, relationships, and corporate environments.
And before we knew it, we were performing instead of living.
Those adaptations may have protected us for a season. But over time, survival-based identity creates distance between who we present and who we actually are. And that distance creates exhaustion, confusion, and a quiet sense that something isn’t aligned.
The Divine Blueprint: Identity Comes Before Purpose
One of the truths I come back to again and again is this: healing restores identity, and identity stabilizes purpose.
Your identity is not random. It is a divine blueprint. God established it before you ever entered a role, a title, or a system. And your purpose doesn’t come from external expectations; it flows naturally from who you were created to be.
When identity and purpose are aligned, there is a sense of freedom. There is clarity. There is belonging.
The struggle begins when we look outside ourselves for validation, when we follow corporate scripts, social norms, or other people’s definitions of success. External approval can never replace internal alignment. And when we chase it, we often sacrifice the very authenticity and impact we were designed to bring.
The Courage to Accept Who You Really Are
Here’s something I’ve learned from my own journey: even when truth is revealed, we still have a choice.
You can recognize your calling and still hesitate. You can hear who you really are and decide you’re not ready to own it yet.
That tension is real. The pull between old survival patterns and authentic identity doesn’t disappear overnight. Letting go of performance requires courage. It requires trust.
But when you begin to live from your true identity, the pressure lifts. The constant striving eases. You stop managing perception and start living in alignment. And from that place, purpose becomes clear, and confidence becomes natural.
Returning to Yourself: Where to Begin
Coming back to your true identity is a process, not a moment. It takes reflection, healing, and honesty. If you’re beginning this journey, I often invite people to start with a few simple questions:
Who were you before the world told you who to be?
What did you love as a child, before approval or performance became part of the equation?
What roles or behaviors are you maintaining today, and what are they protecting you from?
Where might you be performing instead of living?
As you explore these questions, stay connected to the Divine. Identity isn’t something you figure out alone. It’s something you uncover in partnership with God.
When you ground yourself in your truth, when you begin to understand who you are and what you are here to do, you start to see your value more clearly. And that clarity makes it easier to keep doing the work of healing and alignment.

You Are Already Ready There are these pinnacle moments where you get to really see it all. It’s as if the clouds parted, and for the first time in a while, you see the beauty of a clear blue night sky full of stars. You knew the stars and sky were there, even though you couldn’t see them through the cloud cover or dark sky. Perhaps it was location, weather, or some other occurrence that blocked your view. But man, when you can see it so clearly, it's like taking your first full inhalation...
My Disappearing Acts This year, I spent my birthday weekend deep in transformation work. When I came up for air, I realized that getting clear about my identity changed my entire life. I completed the unraveling of stories that restricted my greatness- all self-imposed by the way- and allowed me to keep hiding. I remember the feeling of knowing exactly how to show up in all of the rooms I was in. It was how I functioned as a corporate leader, DEI consultant, Minister, friend groups, and in my...
